Who We Are

NTAL is a not-for-profit organization that formed in 2005 to develop and support the arts in general and to make North Tampa a more vibrant art community. We provide educational opportunities and assist our members to grow as artists.

We typically have a general meeting on the 4th week of each month. Members, guests and not-yet-members are welcome. Meetings dedicate time for a guest artist lecture or member art critiques. In addition, we work with local venues to display art within the community throughout the year.

The goals of North Tampa Arts League are:
  • To offer fine art and art education to the community of North Tampa
  • To cooperate with the Arts Councils of the Tampa Bay area to promote the arts and further the goals of our membership
  • To work with community leaders to create a vibrant artistic climate with the goal of developing Community Art Centers
  • To nurture and support artistic pursuits both for the artists and the community at large

Board members serve a term from April to March. Elections are held at the March general meeting. With a quorum of members present and voting per NTAL’s by-laws, the following members were elected for the 2018-2019 term:
  • President - Diane Harm
  • 1st VP Membership - Dorothy Banker
  • 2nd VP Events & Programs - Deborah Newman
  • Treasurer - Joan Garcia
  • Secretary - Virginia Butler
