FEBRUARY MONTHLY MEETING: Costumed Life Drawing

posted Feb 21, 2019, 7:58 AM by North Tampa Arts League   [ updated Feb 21, 2019, 3:15 PM ]
THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT. Please call 813-932-0241 to be added to the waiting list. Join us for a fun evening of live costumed life drawing utilizing a traditional croquis format! Croquis (French for "sketch") is a quick and sketchy drawing of a live model. Croquis drawings are usually made in a few minutes, after which the model changes their pose and another croquis is drawn. Because of the short duration, the artist doesn't have time to draw all of the details so they learn to concentrate on the important elements. Croquis is also a good method for drawing subjects that generally do not stand still and pose.

 REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! SOLD OUT!!!!

Walk-ins will be turned away. We will be “passing the hat” to pay for the models’ fee, suggested donation $7.00.

Please bring your preferred drawing materials!

Attendees will focus on: The energy and dynamism of the model's pose, the body's rhythmic movement, proportion and balance
