Now Forming NTAL Activities Groups

Lets make a New Year's resolution to be more active as a group by hosting different activities through out 2015.

As we discussed at January's general meeting, we encourage members to form whatever groups interest you and to schedule activities beyond our monthly meetings.

Let us know what activities you are interested in. We can build specific email lists and NTAL members can can belong to any or all activity groups. For example, we can host lists for photography, watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, sculpture, fabric, etc. Anyone can notify NTALboard of an activity and we will post it on our website and via email.

If you want, we can publish your event on MeetUp for you to save the cost of posting there. For example, you can schedule group photo walks, en plein air or media specific gatherings that interest you. If an event is capacity controlled, you might want to keep the initial invite internal to NTAL via email before opening it to the public.

Other than any required costs such as park admission fees, these events must be free to NTAL members. Guest participants will pay a $5 fee to NTAL. If they decide to join NTAL after an event, that fee will go towards membership.

  • University of Tampa campus en plein air and photography field trip (limited to weekends)
  • Ybor City photo walk (painters bring your camera for reference photos)
  • Botanical garden en plein air and photography field trips - there are many to choose from
  • Any other suggestions?
Next Steps:
  • Let us know which groups you want to form. We will track them on the Committees page. There should be a volunteer chair and co-chair for each group.
    • David Beebe is hosting a photo group
    • Kathy Weinberg is hosting a plein air group
  • We will form email lists for each group. Let NTALboard know which lists you want to be included on.
  • We will advertise the groups to the membership via meetings and emails from NTALboard.
  • Send meeting specifics to NTALboard to forward to the entire membership, group lists and/or MeetUp as appropriate.
