Arnold Swepson's sculpture "Serena De Milo" is made of repurposed metals. Arnold has always been interested in tennis and was inspired by Serena Williams. He says "Serena is unusual and a gifted athlete and I felt compelled to create this work of art".

Arnold was born in New York and moved to Fall River Massachusetts when he was 5 years old. but his mother's family came to the U.S. at the turn of the last century from the Cape Verde Islands,a former Portuguese colony off the coast of Africa. Arnold has been inspired throughout his life with pictures and stories of the Islands. He interprets these dreams and stories through his paintings and sculptures. When he was a young boy he would whittle pieces of soap into figures. Later he started carving with wood. Then he says he "had a piece of metal in my hand and I started to shape it and the next thing I knew it was a little palm tree, and as they say, the rest is history"
